Collegiate Business Networking Association is a professional organization for Hampton University undergraduate students. Our focus is on forming relationships between business-minded students, and providing enrichment programs such as development seminars, conferences and conventions, and business-related social functions.
Founded in 2000 by Jonathan Carter, CBNA is designed to establish a forum for all students to be leaders in an organization that recognizes everyone's individual input. CBNA is currently a division of the HU Business Club, but beginning in January 2001, CBNA will become an autonomous, chartered organization and a member of the Business Students Association.

What makes us who we are?
CBNA members interact directly with business leaders, local government representatives, University officials, nonprofit business organizations, and more.
CBNA members have exclusive insight into the operations and management of their own organization.
CBNA organizes special events such as discussions, travel, networking dinners, enrichment programs, and more... for members only. |
What makes us different from the rest?
We do not devote our entire operations towards fundraising. Although CBNA does have fundraising projects, they are secondary to our primary purpose - to provide members with valuable opportunities.
CBNA has dynamic, enthusiastic leadership. We go out of our way to make sure our officers and staff are providing the level of leadership our members deserve.
CBNA members stay involved. Unlike many other organizations, we do not recruit dormant members that are only seeking a resume builder.
CBNA activities go above and beyond. When we do something, we do it right. Our officers make sure that all CBNA activities are well planned and worth their time.
CBNA avoids bureaucracy at all costs. While staying well-organized, our focus goes towards the goal, not the process. Functions are always carried out quickly and efficiently. |
